Golf R32 Tacho

Meilen kann mann mit vag-com oder beim freundlichen auf Deutsch bzw Europa oder wenn du willst das ein Gong ertönt wenn deine Türen aufgehen auf Kandisch umstellen dann haste in beiden Fällen Km statt Meilen.

Denke das liegt daran das dein jetziges einfach mal bis 300 geht und nicht wie das alte nur bis 260kmh.Denke mal der Getriebe stecker vom Tacho muss getauscht werden???!

Der K-Wert ist bei R32 fest und kann nicht geändert werden.

Ausser eben durch direkten Eingriff in die SW des Tachos.

Are there any forum Tacho experts in the Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Mannheim area that can hepl me with the installation of an R32 tacho?

Stimmt nicht ganz kommt auf die Software Version an hatte schon welche in den Händen da konntest Du den K-Wert mittels VAG-Com umstellen. ´

Aber generell hast Du recht ist äusserst selten aber dann gibts ja noch die gute alte Klammer oder VAG-Dash-Com.

@XBM- Well, what I am looking for sems like a lot of work but Here it is. I will explain.

I would like to install a German R32 tacho in my car but there are many thing that I have read that must be done.

- SKC Code
- Immob code 1,2 or 3
- My car has no canbus
- My car has no FIS
- correct kilometers because my car has miles
- outside temperature sensor
- English or German

Also, I dont know which tacho to buy?

So I guess I need help with everything.

Sure your Jetta has no CAN? because then it really gets tricky, because all R32 speedos come with CAN- same problem for me, my GTI also hasn't got CAN-Bus.

AFAIK there are two possible ways: getting a CAN Simulator from http://www.gti-tdi.de in order to get the R32 speedo running OR simply getting a a good R32 look-a-like speedo inlay.
http://www.k-tec.de produces them in really good quality, I ithink they are about 80€ including shipping. You need the make a scan of your old inlays, mail this to k-tec and they'll produce the new inlay based on your old (that's necessary because there are a whole bunch of different speedos in the MKIV and the can slightly differ by the positions of the warning lights).
